Frances Richardson describes her 3d works as “walk-in drawings”. Made out of mdf, they are composed of
paired-down structural elements that form a physical presence stripped of any clues that would lead to past
histories or content. “I-Beam To Walk Under” carries an expression of numbed inevitability about it, a slow
resignation into an optimist’s melancholy.  

Gary Colclough’s practice encompasses drawing, sculpture and projections. Central to his work is the
presentation of hand-drawn images combined with diagrammatic wooden structures. Through various formal
combinations of these elements he explores how the image functions within spatial and temporal
